The excellent and customized hull form design is got from the long term design experiences. The hull form optimization are evaluated and improved by advanced Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) software for obtaining the ultimate performance of minimum wave making resistance, viscous pressure drag, refining hull surface pressure distribution and uniform the wake distribution at propeller plane before performing ship model test at world’s renowned model basin to validate and fine-tune the final design. Nowadays, the hull form design is not only concentrated at best speed performance, but also at superior maneuvering ability and the excellent sea keeping performance. For example, the 4th generation of 1,800 TEU container vessels is the superior design with the exclusive Sea Sword Bow which proves better seakeeping capability than the conventional design of bulbous bow.
In order to optimize ship’s operational performance, CSBC take the hull-propeller-rudder interaction into consideration to design the propeller with high efficiency, low cavitation and low exciting pressure force. After several years of trial and evolution, CSBC’s propeller design has stepped significantly from conventional series propeller into wake-adapted propeller for all kinds of vessels; including low speed bulk carriers, high speed container ships, and also for the special Semi-submersible heavy lift ships with controllable pitch propeller. And CSBC is devoted to the research and development of propeller strength analysis as well. Nowadays, CSBC have the comprehensive ability to design propeller with high efficiency with compact weight for conventional ships, and even for unconventional ships with ice class requirement.
Considering to meeting the more rigorous rules and assist customers to keep the superiority of competition in the shipping market, CSBC offers a variety of Energy Saving Devices for both new ships and existing ships. Our products include Rudder Bulb, Cap-Fin, Wake Equalizing Duct (WED), Vortex Generator (VG), energy saving bulbous bow and so on.
