Technology Development icon
The processes of ship design and production are composed of several sub-phases in which different technologies need to be applied for the final completion of the ship. Over the past 30 years, through the ceaseless promotion of its design capability and improvement of production technology, today CSBC not only possesses the comprehensive ability of the entire ship design, but also is renowned for the premium quality and high performance of these designs in the international shipbuilding and shipping industries.
Development of New Ship icon
When developing a new ship design, the ultimate goal for CSBC is to meet the market demand and satisfy owner’s requirement by providing the most competitive product in ship productions. By integrating world’s most advanced technology, CSBC designs high performance and quality with production-oriented consideration which promote our cost competitiveness through the application of production automation and continuous improvement of efficiency and quality. pic
Hull Form Design
The very delicate design hull form designs are evaluated and improved by advanced computational fluid dynamic (CFD) software for obtaining the ultimate performance of minimum wave resistance, viscous resistance, pic

Propeller Design icon
In order to optimize ship’s operation performance with high efficiency, low propeller cavitation and low exciting pressure force, propeller designs are made by CSBC. From the past effort over decade, our propeller design has evolved significantly and successfully from conventional series propeller to advanced theoretical wake-adapted propeller for all kinds of vessels.

In the past few years, CSBC concentrate on the research and development of propeller strength analysis method. In Nowadays, CSBC can design the propeller with high efficiency but lighter weight.
Dynamic Evaluation icon
picThe dynamic loads on the whole ship can be analyzed in order to ensure proper structure strength and establishes proper net scantlings. It addresses the environmental conditions likely to be met in a ship’s lifetime, the resulting dynamic loads, and the ship’s strength to resist relevant modes of failure including yielding, bulking, fatigue and vibration. pic
Hull Modelling icon
As the boundary of the model generation, the surface is output from the consecutive CAD/CAM information. Approved steel structure drawings are used for guidance for the modeling process. To produce accurate production information for fabrication & assembly of the ship, the information will be extracted automatically from up- to down-stream. Once the ship model completed, the model information will be processed through various programs to output necessary production information. pic
Outfitting Design icon
Design information given earlier in the design process, e.g. the diagram phase, will be reused; arrangement drawings are created interactively. In detail outfitting modeling design is used to design the three-dimensional layout system by placing the pipe lines, equipments, HVAC, supports, cable trays and fittings etc., in the correct location. Production information for the manufacture of pipe spools and the assembly of complete pipelines is obtained automatically by extracting the necessary information from CAD/CAM system. pic
Design Supporting System icon
To support the various practical design processes, CSBC develops and provides the various solutions for batch of job process, including the trouble shooting for the technical problems which are occurred at the designers and supporting system. The innovation technologies include developing three-dimensional Hull and Outfitting customized programs, Knowledge-based specification-purchase-supply chain systems, Shaft arrangement system.
